Hello,  It’s been a while.  Im sitting in my chair at work slouced almost to the floor. I would love to take a nap on my desk right now but am afraid I’ll fall completely asleep.

I met a new guy and we had some fun together the other night playing Rock Band. & we went out for pizza and salad at Jupiter, one of my fave restaurants.  Our pizza was so tasty.

I just took a 5 min nap on my desk… wow will I make it to 5 tonight? Its 3 pm now. Yowzer.. I think I might step outside and make a phone call to wake myself up a little bit.

Ch-Ch-Ch Changes

Good Morning,

It is Friday – Well the week has been fun for me. I began training someone who is taking over my position at work.  It is ok. I’ve been telling people I’m being promoted, which I hope will actually happen.  I no longer am tied to the front desk and phone- so I can run around the training grounds now.

I’ve been eating lunch with Academy 41 which was fun earlier this week, but I do not want to go there today- I am sick of “the chase” bc I have been exchanging glances, light conversation and getting rides home from one recruit in particular. I made him brownies today and am including a note with my phone number on it. If he doesn’t have the idea already that I am interested, he will now.   He is getting the brownies because he did me a rather big favor of digging up a bunch of his binders from training and let me borrow them to make copies.  I am a little nervous to give him the brownies, but there it is simply a thank you gesture and I have my choices are limited in how I want him to know I want to go out with him.

I have butterflies in my stomach.. .gaah I am nervous!!! Gee What Happened, I thought I was chill.

Lacking in a few departments

My fantasy world is not meeting my expectations in reality. 

First disappointment; Men.. In General and specific cases,

My new dude sucks at calling. Granted he is busy but I’d rather not be the one who calls all the time.  I don’t know if he has time for my hopes of him falling in love with me… I don’t see that happening if we hang out so sparsely. No complaints on When we hang out. We click, there is a spark and I like him a lot! But it’s just he’s a Gemini and doesn’t do well at keeping in touch.

Second disappointment, and we all saw this coming was my crush at work, YOSH, quote, “has a girlfriend and is in love”. Found this out from a reliable source.. Well whatever! There goes my daydreaming of dating a hot firefighter (one as hot as he is anyway!) But since Love doesn’t last— yeah I’m saying that— all is not lost. Maybe when I leave here in ____ time ?? I will still slip my business card in an inter-departmental mail envelope and ask him out. Or not! Bc he is 22 and will probably break my heart anyway.

I can’t help but be depressed. I’ll be gorging myself on Valentine’s day with treats bc I think I deserve to be spoiled and I just have to do it myself this year.

Moving Help

Wanted.

Same shit, different weekend.

I’m Negative Nancy Lately..

My bike tire exploded today right before I was about to take a ride, so instead I did a half-assed jog…god I hate running. Then Iwent to California Pedaler and got a new tube so I’ll be back in business.

Last night I played some pool and had a few beers. I think I was high all day (what a lightweight So it was pretty cool. The dude I am talking to is cool and all but he watches way to much football (I’m sure that could stop if I asked, but I feel like complaining about it here). He knows I hate it…yet he got wasted last night and then played Madden when we got home (at least he didnt remember it in the morning) but jesus, how much football do I have to sit through? Once the game was over, he then flicked the channel to American Pie. I had to leave the room and started reading the East Bay Express because I can’t stand watching that much tube.  Things are going good with him but we need to start doing other things -outdoor, active activities……….. and he needs to man up, grow some balls and start putting some moves on. At least we’ve been eating hella good meals wherever we go (brunches every sunday. god ive never eaten more omelets).

I have work again this week…and meetings galore. I’m going to have to start a job search within the next week, because my contract is to Oct. 26th. However, I’m almost positive that it will be extended way longer than that because it doesn’t sound like they’ve even been interviewing for the position yet.  And I am not applying for the job, I decided.

Wish I had some new musica! But on the upside, I dug out my Gameboy today so now I can play tetris on my commute. YeeHAAAAAA

The Cruz

Well it’s been confirmed yet again dudes suck and always pull the same shit. Benny and Jenn, poor girl is going through rough times. We made a list of 40+ things for her ideal man. They were all “Yes” items too, so nothing negative was on there. Then we made a list of changes we’d like to see in ourselves. It was my therapy session on our way to Santa Cruz!

We fucking went surfing, freaking finally. JesusChrist.

Waves were aiiiight. I was having a hard time catching em on my board, because it was too small a board for the size of waves that day. Eventually we all got up. I borrowed Melissa’s 8′ board and it was great. It was the sunniest day and it really cheered us all up.

It’s Like That

Here’s what’s new.

 1. I’m temping at a Fire Station Training Center where firemen learn their skills. I’m working at the front desk for 3 weeks. So far, so good

2.) I got my first check for $51 dollars, for a 4 hour shift tabulating taste test surveys for Roundtable Pizza

3.) I met someone worthwhile from Craigslist and we have gone out on these dates:

*Drinking and pool at Thalassa in Berkeley-then off to an unnamed Korean bar in Oakland-then off to an Asian Frat for the weed and to watch them do coke out of a vacuum that looked like a Monopoly piece

*Indian Dinner with 2 of my ladies, then more drinking @ Crogan’s

*Cal football game, Sushi dinner and Crabbing off of a pier under the GG Bridge (NIICE!)

He’s getting a better review as days go on, although he’s an Earth sign, which kinda sucks for me.

4.) I’m getting random texts from “Aron”, the mistake I made was calling this number (CL) and now I’m getting things like “I want to snuggle” in my inbox

5.) Ken has been making a ridiculous amont of party plans.. He is a house DJ, and I already RSVPed to the “Beer, Bud and BBQ Under the Sun” party at Golden Gate Park this Sunday.  He won’t stop promoting his dj nights and it’s getting hella old.

6.) Brittany turned 24 on Saturday.. I turn 24 in a few weeks

Becky Seeks Friends

So I’ve resorted to posting personal ads on Craigslist and searching for people on Myspace in attempt to meet people………Friends, Suitors.. what may have you. Well it’s actually working, aside from the fact that I haven’t MET anyone yet.  My inbox is feckin full though, 3 kens, 2 jessys, and a bunch that were deleted…I actually responded to a bunch so maybe this will be a success story?

I was supposed to have plans all weekend but I actually did nothing.. Except last night met up with EVE and she listened to me whine about not having a boyfriend and not being happy with life.  The rest of the girls seem to be MIA this weekend, I called them all today. I’m trying to watch the VMAS. Apparently Weezy is performing in the pre-show!

Hopefully next week life will come together more. My license arrives in the mail somewhere from the 12-14th. It’s Jennifer’s 25th bday this weekend and we are taking a limo to the city. I’m really excited about this because there hasn’t been enough time with the group.

My diet starts tomorrrow. LEGIT. It’s happening!
